People Feeding People Weekly Newsletter
Happy Monday!
We hope this week is off to a great start! We had a great distribution last week at the Wilbeth Arlington Homes. Thank you once again for your support of our free mobile grocery distribution program. Your support means so much to us and the Akron Community! This work is only made possible by the support of people like you.
If you got a chance to come out to the distribution last week, we would love to showcase the wonderful meals or snacks you made! Please send us a picture of what you made so we can highlight you on social media and in our weekly newsletter! Photos can be sent to our email: [email protected]

We are always in need of volunteers at our distributions. We have distributions every other Wednesday. Volunteers can come and help set-up, pass out groceries, and/or clean up. We begin setup for every distribution at 3:30pm and we start passing out the groceries at 5:30pm.
You can sign up to volunteer using the link below!
Worker Cooperatives are organizations that are democratically controlled and owned by the people who work for the organization. Cooperatives have been started all over the country and is a unique way to combat oppressive work environments and put the power in the hands of workers. Check out this grocery store cooperative in Mississippi. What do you think about this business model? Could it work in other industries? Think this could be something we bring to Akron?
People Feeding People has launched a fundraising campaign to support the work of feeding our people and combatting food apartheid. There are a number of ways you can donate!
We greatly appreciate your contribution. Every dollar we raise goes a long way!
